Community Chats were started shortly after the pandemic caused many of us to close our businesses and we were all feeling alone within a crazy world we couldn't control. We missed real talk, real connections, and real advice from our fellow #girlbosses.

Twice a month we invite a select few members of our community the opportunity to join a video call with two business leaders teaching on different aspects of our monthly topic. These seats are reserved for women who are ready to dive into the topics with the leaders and put it all out there. Think of it as your own private workshop where you have an opportunity to put your business in the hot seat and learn from the best of the best! Community Chats are live-streamed to the Vend Raleigh Facebook page where the rest of the community joins in and has an opportunity to ask questions and connect.

Want to put your business on the hot seat and join an upcoming call? Sign up coming soon or tune in live on Facebook.

Hi, I’m Kristin!  I’ve lived in Raleigh for just over 14 years + have really loved making it my home with my husband, Matt, and our two pups, Lily + Bonham.  In late 2011 I started my handmade biz, bird + beau, which started me down my path of entrepreneurship.  As an artist, I've always been very supportive of other makers, artists, + local businesses and have worked with many small shops over the years.  Once the handmade scene in Raleigh was really growing I started Raleigh Makers Market, now Raleigh Round to showcase + support fellow makers -- as markets have become more prominent this area, we've stepped away from markets + have leaned into being more of a resource + supporter of the arts.  Through RR + now my freelance business, Aray, I enjoy hosting group meet ups for makers + monthly coffee dates for the creative / small biz community.  And through Aray, I work with many small business owners to develop their brands through design, branding, + photography.  I am always up for chatting ideas + inspiration with fellow creatives and cannot wait to a bigger part of the Vend community!

Kim Saguinsin is the owner and Ambassador of Buzz (aka the marketing guru and genius when it comes to creating a flawless brand for her business) of Warrior Tech OCR and just recently opened second location Warrior Tech Raleigh. Warrior Tech started as a dream for a unique place to train not just for adults but for the entire family. Warrior Tech is not a gym or an entertainment center. It’s a training facility where members can use the methodologies of obstacle course readiness and ninja warrior training to get fit and healthy. Kim's self-proclaimed 'why' is family. Married to co-owner Tim, and mom to Corey, 11 and Jacob, 9, Kim has completed her second Spartan Race Trifecta, earned 2nd in the first ever Ninja State Games of America and has qualified for the National Ninja League World Championships for 2020. A graduate of American University with a B.A in video production and graphic design (2001), she made a career in marketing. After falling madly, deeply in love with fitness, she became a NASM Certified Personal Trainer. As co-owner, director of marketing and OCR Coach, her life couldn’t be more incredible with each new obstacle that life throws at her.

My name is Bethany--my friends and clients call me Bee--and I'm about to change the way you look at waxing! I am the most sarcastic, sassy with a drop of honey southerner you will ever meet. I love meeting people of all different walks of life--it’s the best part of what I do. My heart and life’s passion is to de-fuzz! I thrive on making men and women feel good about themselves, inside and out. I opened Fuzzy Bee Waxing Studio to take the sting out of self-care and reveal your beautiful skin. I have created a comfortable setting for anyone to receive various hair removal services. Waxing became my life almost 10 years ago. I received my esthetician’s license from Miller-Motte College in 2008, at the top of my class. I have been waxing for the two largest waxing companies in the USA since 2010. Building my client's confidence and building relationships with them has been the most rewarding aspect of my career. I believe working with and helping people is my true calling. I can't imagine doing anything else. This is my life--the waxing life. The Fuzzy Bee life.
